Our Operations
Black Diamond Minerals, and its wholly owned subsidiaries, G&H Resources, LLC, Prospect Energy, LLC, and Golden Energy Partners, LLC are located in Denver, Colorado. From our headquarters, we operate wells throughout Colorado and southwest Wyoming, and hold a large non-operated position in northern Oklahoma.
In the Denver-Julesburg Basin (D-J) of Colorado, we operate the Fort Collins oil field. We also have offsetting leasehold interests, both east of Fort Collins and throughout the northern Colorado D-J Basin. Our acreage position has outstanding potential for horizontal Niobrara wells.
In the Piceance Basin in northwestern Colorado, we own 4,663 acres called Tepee Park Ranch. Tepee Park Ranch holds enormous resource potential – from the nearly 1 billion bbls of oil shale, to the highly prolific Williams Fork formation and the emerging Mancos shale.
In Wyoming, our primary producing fields, located in Sweetwater County, are the Desert Springs and Playa Units. We operate several wells along the LaBarge Platform, and have large non-operated position in Hat Creek Field, located in Niobrara County. We also operate two large undeveloped oil shale plays with 77,000/44,000 gross/net acres, targeting the Niobrara and Mowry formations, located in Converse and Carbon Counties, respectively.
In North Central Oklahoma, we have a 1/8 interest in a 173,000-acre Area of Mutual Interest (AIM) with our 7/8’s interest partner, SandRidge Energy. This area, called the “Carrier Prospect,” covers parts of Major, Alfalfa, Garfield, and Grant Counties, and is currently being developed with horizontal Mississippian wells.
